Flaming Wings Review: Title 9 Sports Grill – The Highs, the Lows, and the “Trash Cans”
Published on January 20, 2026
We recently hit up Title 9 Sports Grill in Phoenix to see if their menu lived up to the local hype. It was a classic night out with the crew—Alan, Brian, Daylynn, and myself—filled with great service, a heated wing debate, and one appetizer we’d probably leave in the bin next time.
The Main Event: Buffalo Chicken Wings
The wings are the undisputed star here, but they sparked a serious conversation about what makes a “perfect” wing.
-
The Texture: These are some of the most tender wings in the Valley. We’re talking “fall-off-the-bone” meat that was cooked perfectly.
-
The Catch: While the meat was 10/10, the skin lacked that signature crunch. Some of us found them a bit “too wet” or “smushy.” We all agreed: a “double fry” would have easily pushed these to a perfect score.
-
Pro Tip: If you like crunch, ask about their Dry Rub. We reminisced about a previous dry rub visit that hit the mark perfectly—crispy on the outside while staying juicy inside.
The Scores (out of 5):
-
Alan: 4.5
-
Bily: 4.5
-
Brian: 4
-
Daylynn: 3.5
The Sides: Poppers & “Trash Can” Nachos
The appetizers were a tale of two cities.
-
The Poppers: A total win! Served piping hot and packed a spicy kick that hit just right.
-
The Trash Can Nachos: Unfortunately, these lived up to the name for the wrong reasons. At a 2/5, the toppings were skimpy and the “beer cheese” (queso) congealed almost immediately. It turned into a cold, clumpy mess before we could even finish the first round of drinks.
The Vibe & Service
The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a Phoenix sports bar. Our server—a bartender-in-training—was a rockstar, keeping the Modelos flowing and checking in on us while we dissected our meal.
Final Verdict: Title 9 is a must-visit for wing lovers who prioritize tender, saucy meat. Just skip the nachos and stick to the poppers. Between the “too wet” wing debate and a hilarious misunderstanding involving a “fisting” gesture (long story—ask Daylynn), it was a 5-star night for the company alone.
